Hwang Jung Eum Opens Up About Returning to the Big Screen
Hwang Jung Eum opened up about returning to the big screen after five years.
Hwang Jung Eum attended a press screening and reporters′ roundtable for My Sister, the Pig Lady, held at the Daehan Cinema in Seoul′s Jung-gu on August 31, where she said, "It′s so nice. I really wanted to do a movie."
The last film Hwang Jung Eun appeared in was five years ago in 2010 film Death Bell 2.
She said, "I′m so excited that the film is being released. [Films] have a different charm from dramas. I want to be more active in films in the future. If My Sister, the Pig Lady does well, maybe I′ll have more of those kinds of opportunities."
Hwang Jung Eum continued, "I thought of it as a time to go down to the countryside to receive healing. The filming period wasn′t long, so I had fun while filming and ate a lot of delicious things."
My Sister, the Pig Lady is about three women, Jae Hwa, Yu Ja and Mi Ja, from a fishing village, who vie for the heart of the only bachelor in town, Jun Seob, played by Lee Jong Hyuk. The film was directed by Jang Moon Il, who directed A Good Day to Have an Affair, and hits theaters on September 10.
