Ryu Seung Ryong Praises miss A Suzy′s Singing and Acting
Ryu Seung Ryong showered Suzy with praise.
A production briefing for film Dorihwaga was held at the Apgujeong CGV in Seoul on October 29, where Ryu Seung Ryong said of Suzy, "She′s smart."
He said, "I couldn′t help but be surprised when I saw that she said she′d do the film without hesitation even though the scenario is a difficult and demanding journey."
The actor added, "Her acting was superb. I thought, ′Bae Suzy is an actor.′"
He also said, "When she performed pansori on set, she was great. Then, I thought, ′Bae Suzy is a singer,′" drawing laughs before adding "She′s upright in her freedom."
Dorihwaga is set in 1867, when women weren′t allowed to perform pansori, and centered on Jin Chae Sun (Suzy), who dreams of becoming a pansori singer during the Joseon era, and her mentor Shin Jae Hyo (Ryu Seung Ryong). The film hits theaters on November 15.
